NEW MOON IN SCORPIO: BREAKTHROUGH

On November 4, 2021, we have a New Moon in sexy, mysterious Scorpio, setting the stage for a new beginning in our lives. This New Moon features an opposition with Uranus, the planet of revolution, unpredictability, and freedom.

Both Scorpio and Uranus are extreme: Scorpio plummets the emotional depths, while Uranus soars intellectually high in the clouds. Since the heavens above reflect us below, we may notice contradictions within ourselves this New Moon and its two-week waxing period thereafter.

Contradictions are a part of life: We may want a relationship, but value our independence; we may love being a parent, but miss having more time to ourselves. Such discrepancies are normal. But now, with the New Moon in Scorpio opposite Uranus, the heavens are broadcasting a polarity that reveals the dichotomies within ourselves: We may feel as if something other than what we want to focus on needs attention; that’s Uranus demanding change in one life area, while the Scorpio sun and moon want us to start fresh in another. The result: something has got to give.

Luckily on this New Moon, planet of the mind Mercury will harmoniously sextile loving Venus, so we could get two opposing views to cooperate and even be complementary. In fact, that might be what we’ve been meant to do all along: to make peace with our different desires, framing them in a fresh way, as to leverage our circumstances to our greatest advantage.

The Eighth House is about endings, so you may be inclined to draw new lines in the sand, and even let something die. While you strongly desire change now, you may not feel quite secure putting your money where your mouth is: Uranus this new moon falls in your Second House of Values — the house of what makes you feel secure. Taurus: As the New Moon in Scorpio transits your Seventh House of Partnerships, the time is ripe for a new beginning in relationships. You may want to strengthen the partnerships you’re in, or find some new ones that punch your ticket. At the same time, revolutionary Uranus is in your sign, making you feel like you want to break away and be free — even change your identity. Clearly, this might create a terrific amount of tension now. To make the most of this Scorpio New Moon, therefore, determine who you are and who you want to be: What is your identity? Are you a spouse? A good best friend? A parent? The best consultant in your field? A combination of the above? From a place of awareness of your new identity, determine where you should set or dissolve boundaries in your long-term relationships.

Gemini: The New Moon in Scorpio transits your Sixth House of Lifestyle, creating a new beginning in your day-to-day goings-on. This transit is typically about “health” and “work,” so it may be a new diet, exercise regimen, or job you want. Revolutionary Uranus, however, is camped out in your Twelfth House of the Subconscious, shaking up who you subconsciously believe you are. If there’s a conflict between what you subconsciously believe to be true about yourself, and what you want to do on a daily basis, you’re going to face difficulties. Thus, use this New Moon to change your subconscious: See yourself in your new lifestyle, doing the things you want to do, and let it feel natural, healthy, and free. Cancer: The New Moon in Scorpio transits your Fifth House of Pleasure, setting the stage for a new beginning in terms of self-love, dating, creativity, and your children if you have any or want to. Though you may be ready for a new beginning in these areas, there may be a conflict: With Uranus in your Eleventh House, calling for change regarding your hopes, dreams, friends, and community, you may need to revolutionize these matters before starting fresh. Perhaps you want to start dating again, but your schedule is already packed with friends that depend on you. Or your biggest dreams present a conflict with having children. The Fourth House pertains to your roots, home, and family — whatever makes you feel secure. A challenge is brought by Uranus, demanding change in the area of your life that rules career, status, and reputation — how the world sees you. Thus, to create a stronger sense of emotional security now, you may have to shake up matters in terms of career or society’s expectations of you. Perhaps you feel you’ll be happiest by setting down roots in another area of the world, but your career requires that you stay put. Or maybe you want to create a family, but you feel the world doesn’t see you as a parent. Whatever moves you make now to feel more secure will be supported by making changes to your career, society’s expectations of you, and the legacy you’re planning on leaving behind.

Virgo: The New Moon in Scorpio transits your Third House of Communications, setting the stage for a new way of thinking and communicating. Since the most important person you’ll ever communicate with is yourself, your inner dialogue now is likely to change. A change in your self-talk will change how you communicate with others, and how you interact with your environment: Maybe you’ll join a class, start writing on a regular basis, or become more social. While you make such changes, you may experience an underlying tension: Uranus is stationed in your Ninth House of Philosophy, demanding change in your big-picture thinking, i.e., beliefs about the world and yourself. You will want to revolutionize what you believe about yourself and life to make the most of this new thinking cycle. By re-envisioning the “big picture” and how you want to expand in the world, your new ways of thinking and communicating will be supported by your universe.

Libra: As the Scorpio New Moon transits your Second House, the stage is set for a new beginning in terms of your values, income, and self-worth. You may realize that your actions need to better align with what matters to you most: Maybe you don’t think you get paid enough for what you do; or you feel the way you’ve been allowing yourself to be treated makes you feel bad. As the stage is set for better self-expression, value fulfillment, more money, and higher self-worth, you’ll have to deal with Uranus. The planet of change is demanding revolution pertaining to your boundaries and other people’s resources. Maybe you want more money, but asking for a raise or leaving your company may jeopardize your wealth. Or perhaps you want to speak up about something, but you know that will forever change the relationship. Whatever the case, revolutionizing the way you share resources and the boundaries you set is key to fulfilling your values, increasing your income, and self-worth.

Scorpio: Happy Birthday, Scorpio! As the New Moon in your sign transits your First House of Identity, you have a chance to create a brand new you! How you treat yourself is the big deal now. While you increase your integrity with yourself and practice new behavior, Uranus may throw a curve ball in your relationships! Parked in your Seventh House of Partnerships, Uranus is demanding reform in your important one-on-one connections. Maybe you want to start nurturing yourself by going to the movies, but your mate isn’t a movie buff. Or maybe you want to express the more wild and sexy aspects of your personality, but your partner is more conservative sexually. Maybe you’re finding your best friend undermining your confidence, and support is really important to you. Whatever the case may be, you’re treating yourself with more regard now and eager to be empowered; as a result, your relations may need an adjustment to align better with the new you.

Sagittarius: As the Scorpio New Moon transits your Twelfth House of the Subconscious, you have the chance to instill new beliefs about yourself to change your reality. While taking the time to reflect, meditate, and visualize what you want will help, Uranus may be demanding more! Stationed in your Sixth House of Lifestyle, Uranus wants you to revolutionize your daily goings on (health, work, daily activities, etc.). Thus, to put your mind at ease now, a change in your lifestyle is called for. Say, for instance, you want a new relationship; if your days are consistently booked solid, there’s no room for someone new to come in — so you’ll have to make space. Or if you want to have more energy, but your job sucks the life out of you, you may need to start the hunt for a new one. Rest your mind over the next two weeks, but also make some changes now to usher in the new you on your upcoming birthday!

Capricorn: As the New Moon in Scorpio transits your Eleventh House of Expectations, your big dreams, friends, and community are ready for a new beginning. For a fresh start in these areas now, you need to direct your focus to your self-love and what brings you joy: Revolutionary Uranus is parked in your Fifth House of Creativity and Pleasure, and it’s demanding attention! Thus, to achieve your highest hopes, remain on good terms with friends, and enjoy the tribe that matches your vibe, you have to explore what lights you up and express yourself more fully. Maybe you have an artistic project you want to be a huge success, but you’re holding yourself back artistically and playing it safe. Or maybe you’re a devout friend, but are starting to resent nobody ever taking care of YOU (a common Capricorn malady). Whatever the case, to reach your goals and really enjoy your friends and community now, you have to love, express, and enjoy yourself more.

Aquarius: As the New Moon in Scorpio transits your Tenth House of Career, the stage is set for you to go for the gold and achieve more recognition and higher status. While you consider what you impact you want to have on the world, your home, family, and sense of emotional security will play a part in achieving your goals. Revolutionary Uranus is stationed in this area of your chart, and it’s making noises hard to ignore! A change in how you care for yourself emotionally is necessary to move forward on the career path you desire. Correspondingly, your relationship with your family (your family of choice or your family of origin) may need revamping. Maybe you are wanting to rise up the ranks at work, but caring for your family all the time keeps you from putting in the energy you need to succeed. Or perhaps you’ve been working too much, and need more emotional sustenance to reach the next level of success. Whatever the case, be sure to tend to whatever makes you feel emotionally secure, and be prepared to transform that life area if you wish to ascend up the mountain of success.

Pisces: As the New Moon in Scorpio transits your Ninth House of the Higher Mind, the stage is set for you to expand your consciousness and broaden your horizons. You’re likely to have “itchy feet” now, craving something fresh, new, unfamiliar, and different — you want to grow! But with Uranus camped out in your Third House of Communications, your brain is calling for a reboot, as your thinking may be undermining your aspirations. Thus, to expand your consciousness or reach in the world (perhaps by broadcasting or publishing) you will need to change the way you think and communicate. Maybe you want to write a blockbuster, but need to learn how to create better arcs for your characters. Or maybe you want to be a huge success, but put yourself down and don’t believe it’s really possible. Once your thoughts and communications are aligned with what you want out of life, it will be smooth sailing. Go after your aspirations, but change your thinking and communications to make them realizable.
