NEW MOON IN CAPRICORN TAROTSCOPES
The New Moon in Capricorn on January 13, 2021 is conjunct Pluto, making this a very transformative transit. Over the next two weeks, we may have to let go of what’s outdated in order to fully step into our power. To find out which life area the new moon is likely to affect, read the passage for your sign and/or rising sign below. Likewise, you can watch the timestamped video above.
Aries: With the New Moon in Capricorn transiting your Tenth House, the next two weeks are great for attracting new things in your life pertaining to career advancement, success and leaving your mark on the world. Ideally, you’ll use the next two weeks to climb up the proverbial mountain to gain the esteem of colleagues and VIPs. Since Capricorn likes definition, aim to determine which mountain you want to mount! Keep in mind that Mercury will be retrograde between January 30 to February 20; if you have any big career moves you want to make or projects you want to launch, you may want to before or after Mercury’s Retrograde. Though Mercury Retrograde can bring fated connections, it favors connecting with those from the past as opposed to starting brand new relationships.
Taurus: With the New Moon in Capricorn transiting your Ninth House, the next two weeks are great for attracting new things in your life that allow you to expand. Ideally, during this time you’ll go beyond your stretch: this may be through writing, publishing or broadcasting (so your energy touches more of the world), through foreign travel (so you experience more of the world), or through higher learning (so you expand your horizons — your understanding of the world). Should you want to launch something, it may be best to do so before or after Mercury’s retrograde (January 30 to February 20). Same thing with travel; you may want to do so before or after Mercury Retrograde. If you must travel under the retrograde, it may be advantageous to return to those places you’ve visited before (locales, hotels, restaurants, etc.).
Gemini: With the New Moon in Capricorn transiting your Eighth House, the next two weeks are likely to be transformative; the Eighth House is about rebirth and letting go, so be flexible and gentle with yourself. Ideally, you’ll use this transit to release things that are no longer working for you. Likewise, the Eighth House is about shared resources; it’s important to be very judicious in determining with whom you want to share. Your ruling planet, Mercury, will be retrograde from January 30 to February 20, so be sure to look at the fine print extra carefully during this time; likewise, be extra particular regarding your shared resources, as you want to enjoy successful relationships.
Cancer: With the New Moon in Capricorn transiting your Seventh House, partnerships are the hot topic over the next two weeks. Ideally, you’ll use this time to focus on the “other” in your life (i.e., personal or professional partners). If you want to rekindle the flame with your partner, now is an advantageous time. Keep in mind Mercury is retrograde from January 30 to February 20, so you may connect with someone from the past now for an “Act 2!” Though Mercury Retrograde is not advised for making momentous decisions, sometimes it can indeed bring fated connections, so keep that in mind!
Leo: With the New Moon in Capricorn transiting your Sixth House, the next two weeks are great for attracting new things in your life pertaining to work, health and your day-to-day systems and processes. Ideally, you would use this time to get your life and body running like a well-oiled machine. Keep in mind Mercury is retrograde from January 30 to February 20, so if you want to start a job search or a new diet/exercise regimen, you may want to start before or after then. Likewise, during the retrograde, it’s easiest to return to things you have done before (old jobs, diets, routines, etc.) as opposed to starting something brand new.
Virgo: With the New Moon in Capricorn transiting your Fifth House, the next two weeks are great for attracting new things in your life like play, fun, creativity, rest and relaxation, good times with your children if you have any, as well as true love. Ideally, you’ll use this time to engage with your inner child — do things that light you up that you really love. Since you have a penchant for the practical, creating business plans during this time could be ideal. Keep in mind Mercury is retrograde from January 30 to February 20, so starting new flings and projects before or after then is ideal. If you cannot, it may be easiest under the retrograde to connect with people, places, and things from the past.
Libra: With the New Moon in Capricorn transiting your Fourth House, the next two weeks are great for attracting new things in your life pertaining to home, family and emotional security — feeling at home within the self. Ideally, you’ll use this time to feel warm and cozy however you can, which will attract similar yummy circumstances. If you’re on the lookout for a new home, you may want to start the searching process before Mercury retrogrades (January 30 to February 20). Under the retrograde, however, is a great time to renovate or redecorate (anything that starts with the “re” prefix is advised).
Scorpio: With the New Moon in Capricorn transiting your Third House, the next two weeks are great for attracting new things in your life pertaining to communications, learning, teaching and social activities, even if they’re online. Ideally, you’ll use this time to become a better communicator, with yourself and others. Keep in mind that Mercury will be retrograde between January 30 and February 20, so starting new projects before or after then is advised. However, should you want to revisit any old projects you had started before, during Mercury Retrograde is an ideal time. Mercury Retrograde is also a great time for connecting with people from the past.
Sagittarius: With the New Moon in Capricorn transiting your Second House, the next two weeks are great for attracting new things in your life pertaining to money, self-worth, the expression of your talents, and the realization of your values. Ideally, you’ll use this transit to increase your income, self-worth and self-expression. Keep in mind that Mercury will be retrograde between January 30 and February 20, so if you want a new job or wish to start something new, it’s best to do it before or after Mercury Retrograde. However, should you want to return to an old project/job/activity, Mercury Retrograde is the perfect time to do so.
Capricorn: Happy Birthday! With the New Moon in Capricorn transiting your First House, this is YOUR new moon! Use the next two weeks to create a new identity. By asserting your identity in a new way, you can get whatever you want, simply by being the kind of person who would have it. Ideally, you’ll use this transit to decide who you want to be; then you’ll trust the decision and act like you trust the decision. If you are planning on giving yourself a makeover (a very First House thing to do) you may want to do so before or after Mercury Retrograde (January 30 to February 20). Mercury rules vision, so our aesthetic sensibilities are not at their best during that time. If you do shop, be sure to keep the receipts!
Aquarius: The New Moon in Capricorn transits your Twelfth House, which is about the subconscious. During this time, you’ll be getting prepared for your new birthday year (your solar return). In life we get what we subconsciously believe we are by virtue of like attracting like; therefore, you can use the next two weeks to rest, relax and sleep, while getting familiar and comfortable with what you want to attract into your life your next birthday year. Be sure to take advantage of the wealth of materials on the internet to help make the most of this transit (e.g., meditations, self-hypnosis, binaural beats, self-help audiobooks, etc.).
Pisces: With the New Moon in Capricorn transiting your Eleventh House, the next two weeks are great for going out on a limb and thinking, “Why not?” Why not enjoy your life to the hilt and get anything and everything that you want? Ideally, you’ll use the next two weeks to move forward with your biggest hopes, dreams and ideals; friends and community may be able to help, so keep that in mind. If you have any brand-spanking new ideas, you may want to start implementing them before or after Mercury Retrograde (January 30 to February 20). Similarly, Mercury’s Retrograde favors connecting with people from the past as opposed to new relationships.
